Illustrator~
Below is my finished logo from Illustrator, I'm quite pleased with the final logo and enjoyed using our own creativness to come up with our own indivitdual designs. I found it fairly diffilcult overall, but with the help from Steve it made it easier. I was finding I wasn't sure what everything does and was using alot of trial and error, which can get it a bit frustating but I think I'm getting the hang of it and could something similar again now Steve made it clearer.

Melting Pot...
Over the last week or so we've been starting to research into our new project 'Melting Pot'. I really like the idea of the project and that we are able to explore into different cultures and places and feel it is a theme that you can have an endless amount of ideas from. I've chosen to use 'The Amazon' as my theme and have started researching using books relating the amazon from the libary and looking through the Peclers fashion forcasting books for relevant links to my chosen theme. I want to explore all the aspects of the amazon, from shapes and textures of the greenery, plants and nature, and the colours involved. I also want to look into traditional style of the amazon tribes and think about how to incorporate the ethnicity into current catwalk fashion. I'm really looking forward to experimenting with my research using drawing and different mediums to then think about garment shapes. I hope to not get stuck for ideas with this, as with the Black and White project it was quite a short and not as broad but I hope to keep having lots of ideas!

Everything so far!...
I'm a bit behind starting this, and to be honest have been putting it off each day but Jamie and Sarah are going to be checking this after break so I must just do it! So far I have enjoyed the first few weeks, it all has gone at quite a steady pace which I guess I wasn't really expecting but I'm sure that will change. It has felt like we have been here a while now not only 3 weeks, especially induction week that definately dragged! I think maybe because I was here last year doing the foundation course it was abit of dai jar vu. I'm really happy in the group I'm in, that was one thing I was pretty nervous about that I just wouldn't meet anyone but that was silly, everyones really easy to get on with and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone better over the next few years.
I'e found the practical days to be very intense so far, I've never made anything before, I have been trying over the summer to make a shirt with the help of my friends mum, just so I would know something for when I start! and we've been using a pattern and thats coming a lot quite well, although its not really the same as what we've been doing here. I found
I've been getting quite frustrated getting things wrong or not remembering some of the instructions, especially the first practical lesson it was really difficult for me to follow the instructions from the tutors exactly right because it was all s
o quick and I've been making silly mistakes. I fel
t it was quite hard as well seeing exactly what lines were being drawn where from the demonstrations, and it would have been easier to have smaller groups split between the two tutors maybe I'm not sure. I think in time with practice I'll get the hang of it!
I enjoyed the mood board day, that was quite fun linking fashion with interior design and objects or scenes that were similar to the theme, I was pleased with the final outcome and it was interesting seeing everyone's finished designs as they were all so different. IT is i don't know really what to say about that, I don't know if i'll ever get the hang of photoshop, i don't think it helped feeling quite ill trying to keep up with jamie's instructions, I really need a few hours just one to one i think but don't know if that will be possible some time, I think illustrator seems a bit easier, I didn't expect to be using It as much but I ca
n see how it help with what we are doing

. Here is my finished outcome of my scuber diver!
